BJP to be ready for 2024 elections with ‘pravas’ campaign to focus on 144 Lok Sabha constituencies
The ministers wish to adopt actions to strengthen the organization of the Parliament in the sales area. The aim is to spot the crucial issues and political components of the anniversary party and prepare to strengthen these 144 seats of Lok Sabha
Two years away from normal elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a campaign of “pravas” to strengthen its influence in 144 Lok Sabha constituencies across the country.
The anniversary party nominated a union minister and a “pravas” minister for a group of constituencies. The cluster in charge will observe the duties entrusted to the minister ‘pravas’ for the next 18 months. With a watch in the 2024 elections, ministers will even have to frequently seek advice from voters.
What will BJP achieve from ‘Pravas’ marketing campaign?
The aim is to bring together essential electoral knowledge – each Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha – for the 144 Lok Sabha seats.
The ministers wish to adopt actions to strengthen the organization of the Parliament in the sales area. The aim is to pinpoint the critical issues and political components of the anniversary party and prepare to strengthen these 144 Lok Sabha seats.
Example of this – a Union minister visiting a Lok Sabha constituency as his minister “pravas” operates on election information as per meetings section to eliminate major items such as providing MP, birthday party and the overall choice of BJP and opposition MPs. Data as late as 2009 was collected for normal elections.
Apart from this, the main points of the constituency – geography, political and administrative options, creed, caste, inclination of citizens and justification thereof – have been worked out. Part of the preparation also includes information about the main career and activities of the constituency and region, as well as information about each birthday party, its most sensitive leader and its local influence.
Efforts can also be made to grasp the status of a number of events, an MP’s belief in their constituency in addition to that of the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and expected outcomes. An inventory of aspirants and contenders for the seat, as well as current issues plaguing the world and practical advice, can also be incorporated.
Committees on 3 ranges
The BJP has formed 3 committees in other ranges to verify the effective implementation of assigned tasks to sail towards victory in 2024.
The central committee may have central leaders overseeing the tasks and preparing the marketing campaign plan, except for briefing Lok Sabha officials and appointing cluster leaders. The state committee may have state-level officials for overall coordination and to verify the involvement of senior state leaders in parliamentary constituencies. The cluster committee has a union minister in payment who will work to link the core and state clusters. The task also includes forming an action plan for the 144 Lok Sabha constituencies and transforming them into winnable seats.
The plan
Each minister will have to spend 3 days, including one night, within the constituency. The tasks to be accomplished during the 3 days are accompanied by conferences with the central committee of participants of Lok Sabha, the heads of the district workplaces and the mandal presidents; “tiffin baithak” with morcha leaders; maintain programs for beneficiaries; rally organizations with an ideology similar to that of the BJP; assembly participants on the grounds that Jan Sangh invokes and conducts photography classes with families to persuade them to actively paint for the BJP; visit temples, melas or places of cultural and ancient significance in addition to the houses of Padma, Arjuna and Bravery Laureates. This will also be adopted through unique interviews.
The second day of “pravas” includes lectures with participants from sarpanchs and district panchayats, intellectuals or influencers, cooperatives, participants from social networks and IT wings and years of training; seek advice from ‘Vikas Teerth’; interactions with new citizens and conferences with government personnel. It also includes id of 3 government programs in constituencies, 3 local construction works through the Center and 3 problems that can be solved by Union government.
Day 3 activities include participation in ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’; lunch-conferences with households in the weakest communities; interactions with hawker-like “vulnerable people” households, victims of acid attacks who do not appear to be BJP “karyakartas”; Panna Pravas; excursion to must-see villages and interactions with influential citizens.
Tasks to be performed
Here are the tasks that the birthday party aims to achieve through its “pravas” initiative:
- Make intensive plans for each Lok Sabha constituency based on SWOT research.
- Identify and resolve administrative issues.
- Connect citizens, determine specifically capable people, and reach them with central government programs dedicated to them.
- Identify Sashastra Bal and migrants, new citizens and ladies.
- Reach out to beneficiaries to inspire them to become BJP participants.
- Use social media and shape WhatsApp teams down to pit level. Ask Union ministers Mahila Morcha to volunteer for indigenous work such as cleaning lakes, planting saplings or clearing ‘prabhat pheri’.
Shared responsibilities
The names of the cluster officials have also been finalized by the BJP. While Union Minister Piyush Goyal will lead Gujarat, Sarbanand Sonowal would be the minister of pravas. For Telangana, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi is the cluster leader, aided by “pravas” minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Scindia is possibly responsible for the “pravas” for West Bengal, where the cluster leader is Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur is responsible for the cluster for the 4 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra – Palghar, Kalyan, Mumbai South Central and Mumbai South. This core group could be assisted by 4 members of the Maharashtra BJP office.
Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav is also cluster leader for 4 LS constituencies in Maharashtra – Buldhana, Chandrapoor, Hingoli and Aurangabad – which may have a ‘pravas’ minister in Yadav, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Shantanu Thakur.
In Uttar Pradesh, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been appointed cluster leader for 4 constituencies, while he will be ‘pravas’ minister for 2 – Rae Bareli and Ambedkar Nagar. Union Minister Jitendra Singh could take care of a cluster of 4 Lok Sabha constituencies in UP especially Moradabad, Sambhal, Amroha and Mainpuri.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is responsible for the cluster of 3 Punjab constituencies – Sangrur, Patiala and Ludhiana. He could be responsible for the Mandi cluster in Himachal Pradesh.
For 4 constituencies in 5 groups each from West Bengal, the BJP has appointed Dharmendra Pradhan, Smriti Irani, Pratima Bhoumik, Virendra kumar and Pankaj Chaudhary as group leader.
