CAL Offers 15% Off All Destinations, Launches 2022 Marketing Campaign

Caribbean Airlines has announced that it will offer a 15% discount day on all destinations as part of its 15th anniversary celebrations.

The company included the update in a statement yesterday while announcing the launch of its 2022 marketing campaign named REset Expectations.

The company said on its 15th anniversary, Caribbean Airlines will reward customers with additional airline miles, chances to win free travel and a 15% 24-hour all-destination sale by January 15.

The company said that “RESet Expectations” is the “overarching theme that will underpin everything done at Caribbean Airlines – reflecting its signature service and reinforcing the authenticity of the Caribbean brand.”

Caribbean Airlines CEO Garvin Medera said, “Surviving the past two years has been a testament to our resilience and we are now re-energized. The REset Expectations campaign is the result of feedback from our customers and employees, and validated by solid data.

“We listened carefully to the feelings, which allowed us to refocus on improving the customer experience. In the coming months, our customers can look forward to new products and services, all tailored to their needs.

“We’re really excited about the planned improvements, and anyone can stay informed through our social media and follow us on # RE-calibrate as we reset expectations in 2022.”

The company said one of the most anticipated features of the new campaign is the renewal of the airline’s jet fleet; and the entry into service of the Boeing 737-8.

The company said the new aircraft has lower fuel and maintenance costs and can accommodate 160 passengers.

“The 737-8 is quieter, more durable and more environmentally friendly and will be integral to the airline’s long-term competitiveness.”

The company announced the arrival of the first Boeing 737-8 in November 2021.

In 2018, the airline announced plans to add 12 Boeing Max 737-8s to its fleet, but in May 2019, several countries immobilized the plane following an Ethiopian Airlines plane crash that killed 157 people on board.

A Boeing 737 Max 8 was also involved in a lion air fatal flight in which 189 passengers were killed.

Boeing noted it has since released a display system software update to implement AOA [Angle of Attack] Disagreement alert as a standard stand-alone function.

The company has said that in the future, all MAX production aircraft will have an activated and usable AOA disagreement alert and optional angle of attack indicator. All customers with previously delivered MAX aircraft will have the option of activating the AOA disagreement alert.

In November 2020, the FAA canceled an order the cessation of commercial operations of the 737-8 and 737-9.
