The promotional campaign for Apple TV+ hit “Ted Lasso” is one of four series nominated for the ICG Publicists Awards.

‘Ted Lasso’ is nominated for the Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Showmanship Award, which will be presented at the 59th annual ICG Publicists Awards in March 2022. Organizers deemed only four campaigns worthy of consideration, instead of a maximum of six .

According to Deadline, Sarah Carragher, Apple TV+ Series Publicity Lead, is nominated with her team specifically for promoting the first season of “Ted Lasso”.

“While this year has been challenging in many ways,” said awards co-chair Tim Menke, “the four nominated television advertising campaigns each exemplify the best in strategic planning and focused execution, delivering large television audiences. “

“In addition to the challenges the pandemic has brought on everyone,” he continued, “these shows each overcame specific marketing issues to rise to the top.”

“Ted Lasso” now competes with Warner’s second season “Batwoman,” Amazon’s “The Underground Railroad,” and Disney’s “WandaVision.” The appointment was spotted for the first time through iMore.

Last year’s Publicists Guild TV winner was the team behind the first season of Disney+ hit “The Mandalorian.”
